Consultancy and research
Oxford Brookes Archaeology and Heritage group (OBAH) is a consultancy service which provides specialist support to developers and environmental consultants.
Team members have particular expertise in the heritage of Arabia and the Persian Gulf, and in Geoarchaeology (reconstruction of past landscapes). The group's remit is to guide developers so that the heritage of the Gulf can be protected, and its potential maximised, at a time of rapid development in the region, and additionally to provide geoarchaeological services in the UK and globally, using the latest techniques.
They also provide research consultancy services to national museums and international heritage organisations, and have further expertise in educational consultancy, artefact studies and bioarchaeological analyses. Further information visit Oxford Brookes Archaeology and Heritage Group.
OBAH works together with the Human Origins and Paleo Environments (HOPE) research group, which conducts academic research in Arabia, to foster the antiquity of the region.
